If I reinstall the game will I lose my save files? I'm already at level 20 and I feel like my char has been through so much so I don't wanna lose it All Mods are stored in the Data folder of the Skyrim Directory go in there and manually drag all components of them into to the Recycle Bin.

If they're not in the data folder then they aren't downloaded. You should delete your save anyway because any mods used are now embedded into your game save permanently which means deleting mods that were used with that save, will most likely corrupt your game save.

Have you checked to make sure something large isn't in download progress? The Unofficial Patch does this to me quite a bit. I had already re-downloaded the Unoffical Patch so I didn't see anything else downloading.
